"Her Majesty the Queen"
The Yankee Queen, a sturdy and rugged B-17F, lumbered its way home on a steamy, hot and arid late afternoon. She was coming in to land, almost miraculously, as if being held up by God's own hand.
With two engines feathered, the B-17F "Yankee Queen" is seen coming in for a landing in North Africa in 1943 after one of her 50 missions. Two tours of duty and not a loss of her crew is a testament of an amazing string of missions mixed with luck.
Original oil for sale at $2,500. Finished size is 30" x 40". Shipped in a Strongbox®. Monthly payment plans available. Signed in lower right corner in gold pen by Yankee Queen tail gunner John Assmussen
